Geography and Climate
West Batanta features diverse landscapes:
The southern coast is characterized by flat to wavy terrain. Moving northward, the landscape transforms into hills and mountains. The rocky hills in the north stretch from east to west. Rivers originating in the hills generally flow southward, except for the Warai River, which flows north.
The region’s geology consists primarily of Ophiolite rock formations. Soil types include Rendzina soil in the south and gray Podsolite soil in the north.
