Location
The West Waigeo Nature Reserve is a pristine paradise located in Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua Province. Administratively, it falls under the Western District of Waigeo, South Waigeo District, and Mayalibit Bay District, and is managed by Conservation Section I, Region Waisai.

Landscape
The landscape of West Waigeo is a breathtaking mix of hills, mountains, and lush forests, with Flausa Mountain rising to 519 meters above sea level. The region is dominated by Primary Dryland Forest, ensuring a rich, untouched natural environment. Mangrove forests thrive in river estuaries, while mangrove and sago groves create a picturesque setting in the wetlands.
