Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival in Sorong
Arrival in Sorong, meet and greet.
Last-minute supplies and equipment check.
Boat transfer to Waigeo Island (approx. 2–3 hrs).
Check into accommodations/campsite.
Night Herping: Exploring forest edges for geckos, skinks, and possibly Morelia viridis (Green Tree Python).

Day 2–5: Herping in Waigeo Island
Morning: Jungle hikes, looking for monitor lizards (Varanus sp.), forest dragons, and skinks.
Afternoon: Exploring riverine habitats for frogs and semi-aquatic species.
Night Herping: Searching for pythons, vipers, and Cyrtodactylus novaeguineae (Papua Bow-fingered Gecko).
Optional: Birdwatching for Wilson’s Bird-of-Paradise in the mornings.

Day 6: Boat Transfer to Batanta Island
Travel to Batanta Island by longboat (approx. 2 hrs).
Set up camp/lodge near the rainforest.
Night Herping: Searching for Boiga irregularis (Brown Tree Snake), ground boas, and frogs.

Day 7–9: Herping & Exploration in Batanta
Daytime: Trekking through forested hills and streams. Possible encounters with monitor lizards, frilled dragons, and skinks.
Night Explorations: Looking for New Guinea Tree Frogs, Amethystine Pythons, and ground-dwelling vipers.
Optional: Visit waterfalls and mangrove areas for semi-aquatic species.

Day 10: Boat Transfer to Salawati Island
Travel to Salawati Island (approx. 3 hrs).
Set up camp/accommodation.
Night Herping: Targeting Liasis olivaceus (Olive Python), arboreal geckos, and colubrid snakes.

Day 11–13: Deep Jungle Exploration in Salawati
Morning & Afternoon: Searching for monitor lizards (Varanus jobiensis), ground boas, and forest dragons.
Night Herping: Focus on Morelia amethistina (Amethystine Python), Boiga spp., and amphibians.
Possible encounters with rare blind snakes and burrowing skinks.

Day 14: Return to Sorong
Boat transfer back to Sorong.
Rest, souvenir shopping, and city exploration (optional).
End of Tour.
